HDD removal from 3U

Hi,

I have a 3U server with 14 drives. There are no contents in this server it's 99% empty. I would like to remove some of these drives in order to reduce available space. I know I'll lose space and I'm fine with that.

Is this possible? If yes what's the safest way to do so?

Thanks !

Hi,

Unfortunately, it's probably not possible because of how data is stored on the RAID. Have you ever had movies on this system?

The safest and best thing to do is to contact our support folks who can look at your system diagnostics to see whether any drives are removable.

Telem,
Tell you what. I can get you down to only four running drives, guaranteed. Just send me your 3U, and I'll send you my 1U. Problem solved.
