HDCP handshake issue

At some point over the last few weeks, every disk i've burned causes my Algolith Mosquito HDMI (AM) to Green Screen. I have to power cycle the AM to get the picture back. It only happens with disks burned in the last 3-4 weeks. It happens when I either "Play" a movie and also if I want to go to the menu of the disk. :confused:

Anyone else experiencing this problem?



I'm forwarding this on to Kaleidesacape as well.

You mean "loaded" right? If you're burning disks from Kaleidescape, you've got a version of the software that I sure don't have! :rolleyes:

I use HDMI/HDCP and the only time I've had a handshake problem is when i have on the odd occasion left a movie playing but momentarily switched the screen to check the status of another component. That causes a graceful handhake problem where KScape reports that the copy protection isn't working properly with the display, please try again.
 
the error is on the mosquito. when i play a movie, recently loaded into the k, i get a green screen. i almost never get the k "hdcp error" message.

i cannot get the older movies to produce this issue. strangely though, yesterday while testing my theory with an "older" movie, Glory, i consistently was getting kicked out of the movie at the same spot with a k hdcp error message. if i skip past the specific frame the movie will play in it's entirety. not sure if these two issues are related
 
All these kinds of problems and I still hear some people clammoring for HDMI...

Hopefully this kind of issue won't keep creeping up when HDMI 1.3 gets rolled out.
