Our latest Cineluxe review is on the Kaleidescape download of Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

This review is done by Ryan Rutherford, forum member Amblinfan, so show him a bit of love by checking it out!

Ryan says, "One of the Top 5 Dolby Atmos presentations I’ve ever come across, this mix is one for the ages. It belongs in the same company as Blade Runner 2049, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Gravity" so definitely demo-worthy-stuff!

Great review @Amblinfan... I've been holding off purchasing this movie after 2016's Answer The Call left a bad taste, but you got me to reconsider and its currently downloading to my system :) .

This was definitely not the 2016 movie......it's a worthy addition to my collection.

I thought the picture and audio attributes of this film were excellent! The story… eh…. Didn’t really do it for me. But, I glad I have it for reference scenes.

I thought this movie was to fix the franchise damage that the 2016 movie inflicted upon it. I loved this movie, thought it hit all the good things we loved about the first one. Being honest, the second one was kind of pointless, with a illogical plot; being outcast for ridding the city of ghosts.

It's hard to resist additional films as a Producer when the first film does well. I remember being on the set of Karate Kid II in Hawaii with Weintraub and asked him if there would be a III, his answer was "that's the plan, if this one does well." He was definitely a believer in continuing the product cycle if it was making money ("Oceans" franchise is another). Obviously it doesn't work for all movies. I'm wondering how the follow on films to Avatar will be received given the very long time period between movies.

I pre-ordered this. I watched it. I didn’t like it. I enjoyed the 2016 version much more than this one.

Disappointed after purchasing and starting to watch that HD version does not include Atmos.
Most major studios do NOT offer Atmos soundtracks for their HD content. The four studios that DO/HAVE offered Atmos on HD are Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, Paramount and Warner Bros.

Be sure to check in the Store to verify.

Yep. Lesson learned. Though interestingly, of the few titles I had previously purchased from the store, those with an Atmos track included them with the HD version.
