Game of Thrones / HBO

Just dawned on me that I couldn't find Game of Thrones on the K store. With the Blu-Ray releases being so fantastic, I thought it'd be fun to have them on my K server, but didn't see the show, or HBO listed as a studio for that matter. I could've sworn I remembered seeing them on the store a few years back, but I could very well be mistaken.

Was GoT ever on there or HBO content at all? Thought it was. Hmmmm....

Either way, I guess I can consider this my suggestion to K to get the series on the store if at all possible! What better way to marathon the show without having to change discs, but with all the optimal video quality and Atmos goodies that the show's creators blessed the physical releases with. The extras were certainly nice too, so don't forget those! ;)

Nope - no HBO yet. It's one studio that is on my wanted list.

A little off topic but last night made me appreciate K even more! Video/audio quality of last nights episode I thought was awful streaming on ATV4k with HBOGO. Very unfortunate as I was really looking forward to it. As far a streaming seems to have come; all I could think of was I so wish this was on K instead.

Agreed, and this is precisely what inspired me to start this thread. There's ALWAYS been a significant difference between the initially broadcasted versions and the physical releases, excellent Atmos mixed being one of the greatest benefits.

There have been multiple episodes in the past that were pretty dark and were demonstrably better on Blu-Ray, but last night's episode REALLY needed HDR. I have a good feeling that the physical release will be full blown 4K HDR + Atmos, and I'm in for a purchase, but really hoping we'll have the ability to buy it through Kaleidescape. Lots of factors in why so many are complaining about Episode 3, but streaming compression or lousy broadcasting quality wasn't helping anything. I still thoroughly enjoyed it, and it probably helped that I was watching it on a decently calibrated display and with some incredibly nice speakers, but we really need the full bit-for-bit experience on this one.

Same here. I kept thinking how great would this look and sound.

To be honest it’s the first time I feel the difference clearly between the streaming service and the full bit rate content in the Battle of Winterfail in this episode I was hope that I can get it from K even my sat provider has an on demand download service but the copy is the same compress wish from K to bring GOT and HBO in there service soon not late

Unless I’m mistaken even on physical disc only season one has been released on 4K.

Right now they’re rereleasing all the seasons again with new box art, nothing else. CASH GRAB! They haven’t even release a box set on BD yet.

I guarantee you they’re going to release a half dozen versions of GoT like they did with LotR.

Wait until we see a box yet of GoT on 4K Disc.

Oh, you better believe it! Haha. Now that the show's all wrapped up, I'm guessing they'll be milking this baby for the next decade.

However, I'll be pleasantly surprised if they do come out with some super great box set within the next year or two in case they're trying to catch some of the current hype before it fizzles out too much. Could go either way I suppose.
