Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition not in HD?

I noticed that all of the LOTR films are available in theatrical and extended editions, but for some reason the first film is only available in extended edition in DVD quality, not Blu-ray like the other titles are.

Anybody know why or when that would be fixed?

Good question, noticed the same thing.

Jim

Two quick questions:

For anyone who has downloaded the LOTR The Two Towers or The Return of the King Extended Edition...

1) Did you get two downloadable discs or five?

I only got two, but Amazon shows the extended edition as five discs.

2) If you watched this after downloading, does the system automatically transition between the two discs? I am assuming that the movie actually spans both discs.

Thanks

That was fast. Nice to know they pay attention to the forum.

Maybe that particular combination was just #101. It did seem odd to have to pick between extended or in HD.

I'm not sure that I'm doing something wrong but the Canadian site doesn't have any versions of Lord of the Rings......unless I am doing something wrong????

Peter

Maybe the title was altered for your market. How do you say Ring in Canadian?
