Extracting music library at full bitrate

Is there a way to extract the music library, at full bit rate, or is the 3 tier compressed options using Kaleidescape Conductor the only method?

Looking through the threads Conductor would appear is the only method. Although it would be great if such a back door existed, I’d be surprised if it did. I was surprised enough at the existence of Conductor

Only option is Conductor. It does have a high quality option that I thought was uncompressed but I could be wrong. The last time I copied my music collection using the high quality option it took about 3-4 days to complete (~1500 CD’s).

Cheers John. Yeah, conductor’s highest setting is 240kbps VBR.

My assumption then is this was purely a value add play for iTunes/iPods access and tapping into those users/market rather than a specific way to extract the full bit rate copy of the CD for whatever reason.

Regardless of the lack of copyright protection on CDs, and assuming the end user owned the original CD in the first place, it likely wasn’t good practice to blatantly have that capability just in case.
