Error 69: Carousel not properly rotating

My disk vault is displaying this error: "Error 69: Carousel not properly rotating". At first I though the problem might be a jammed disk. I disassembled the vault and removed all of the disks. When I reconnected I still get the same error. Any suggestions as to what to try next would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Rick,

There are kicker "arms" that raise up to lift discs into the optical disc drive and out of the front slot. Check these two locations on the carousel and look for these to potentially be stuck in an "engaged" position (they may be barely above the deck and not necessarily obvious). If the kicker motor (which is located below the deck) failed, you will not be able to push the arms back down, but it will at least explain why the carousel is not rotating.

If there is no sign of the kicker arms, they're not the likely cause, and the carousel itself may have suffered a hardware failure (this isn't typically as common). If you haven't already figured it out, you can do your troubleshooting with the top cover removed as well as the top plastic carousel covering. This will give you the best vantage point to see what is happening with the internal components.

I'm afraid ultimately that you're probably going to need to contact your dealer or K support to get an out-of-warranty replacement.
