"Documentary" category in TV section

There are documentaries like BBC's Planet Earth, Planet Earth II, Blue Planet etc, that are multi-part series, and therefore should be under "TV". But the Documentary category doesn't show up in the dropdown from the "TV" button. When searching for the title, and opening it, the "Genre" does list "Documentary".

Can we get a "Documentary" category under "TV"?

The 2nd Screen app will sort by documentaries and as far as I can tell has both movies and TV titles.

Store web interface Pro tip: there are far more genres (in both Movies and TV) than are listed on the dropdown menus. You can load other genre collections by either clicking on one of the genre names on the detail sheet of a title you are looking at or by loading the URL directly in your web browser as "<store-base-url>/tv/genre/<desired genre>". For example, if you want to see all of the TV Documentaries available on our store, just load

https://www.kaleidescape.com/movie-store/tv/genre/documentary

You can replace "documentary" with any other genre you are looking for. For movie genres, just change "tv" in the URL to "movies". For example:

https://www.kaleidescape.com/movie-store/movies/genre/documentary

Thanks John.

An "advanced" search page, perhaps? There is so much content that it's hard to find certain things. It would really help set K apart from the mainstream streaming platforms (iTunes, Prime, Hulu etc)

Our little search box is a bit more advanced than it seems. While the hint text in the box tells you that you can "Search by Title or Name", you can actually search by other parameters. Enter a genre in that field and you'll get not only movies (or actors) that match the word you entered but also the genre collections (separated by movie and TV). If your keyword matches a collection that our content operations team has created, you'll get that as well.

Couple that with the filter bar options (Video Quality, Audio Quality, Unowned, etc), and you've got a pretty powerful search even without creating an "Advanced Search" interface.

I already created a thread (<-- Click) about advanced search, tagged you there.
