Disney Opt In - Newbie Question?

Hi, I want to understand the 'Disney Opt-In' option.
Let me know if & where I'm wrong?

If you DON'T Opt-In:
1) one CANNOT download any available Disney movies in the K-store.
2) one CAN import all Disney movies to K-servers, except UHD movies.
3) when using a Disc Vault and switch from watching Disney movie "A" to Disney movie "B", there is NO movement of the Disc Vault's carousel or use of it's optical drive.
4) one CANNOT download SD, HD, or UHD Disney movies.

If you DO Opt-In:
1) one CAN download all available Disney movies in the K-store.
2) one CANNOT import any Disney movies to K-servers.
3) when using a Disc Vault and switch from watching Disney movie "A" to Disney movie "B", THERE IS movement of the Disc Vault's carousel and use of it's optical drive.
4) one CAN download SD, HD, and UHD Disney movies.

Thank you.

The above is correct (assuming that the system you are referring to is grandfathered; if it isn't then you can't import DVDs at all regardless of Disney opt-in status).

Also, If you envision your end state to be a combination of Premiere K servers and Strato/Encore, you can Opt-In on the Strato but not on the Premiere server and end up with the best of both: able to import Disney movies (no 4K) on the Premiere server and able to download Disney movies from the K store to the Strato/Encore System (including 4K).

Minor point, that you don't actually "opt-in" on a Strato (or any Encore component), they are essentially opted in automatically because they are restricted to Store content, and do not interface with Premiere components, even with a Co-Star, they remain separate.

Thanks!! a lot for your replies! That helped clears things up.

So with the Strato I can download any Disney movie (SD, HD, or UHD). While continue to be able to import any Disney movie (SD, HD, but not UHD) to a Grandfathered Premiere line K-server. And via Co-Star, have access to all content in one unified display/system. Great!

Thanks for clarifying this point. The whole Disney opt-in thing spooked me there for a moment. I'm Encore only, so I'm glad there's nothing for me to do.

My question regarding the above quote for Disney opt-in. If I opt-in to Cinema one A, will I still be able to import to the 2 cinema one B?

Opt-in is done on a per-system basis not a per-device basis. Therefore:

If Cinema One A and Cinema One B are grouped together to form a single system then you will not be able to import Disney discs to either device after exercising Disney opt-in.

If Cinema One A and Cinema One B are activated on the same account but as separate systems then you will be able to import Disney discs to Cinema One B after exercising Disney opt-in on Cinema One A.
