Covers, select movie, hit play.... nothing

This is happening for every movie. If I select a movie and hit play the screen just goes blank. That's it- no settings have been changed. Hit the covers button, goes back to covers- all is well, but it will not play movies. Help?
 
Without knowing what the configuration of your system is (Premiere with server(s) and player(s), or Cinema One, or Encore system), my best advice is to try restarting. If you have separate servers & players, you could first try just restarting the player. If that doesn't fix it, you could then try restarting the server.

You can restart your components easily from the Browser Interface, on the Settings tab, Components sub-tab.
 
Any news?

It has been pointed out to me by one our team members that HDMI difficulties could also account for the symptoms you're seeing, especially if the HDCP handshake is failing.
 
I turned everything off, left it all off for a night, then powered it back up and it worked. I think it was an HDCP handshake issue.
