hello
for those with a control 4 system kscape will not work throught you control 4 hard remote sr-260 unless you update the driver
when the new kscape software is installed
had my installer program with the new driver will check after work but should be ok now
raghu

Interesting that they update the V and have to update a control system driver. All causing the old driver to no longer work. For most people, that results in you having your programmer update the driver, etc. ($$). Hope this is a one off as I can’t personally think of a case like this for other components…

yes
i didnt expect the old driver to be nonfunctional
luckily my installer just worked on my system about a month ago and didnt charge but if it was 6 months to a year ago he probably would have
when i called kscape service they werent even aware that old driver would be defunct
i havent experienced any driver updates for my other components so hopefully this is a one off situation

For the record, there was no "old driver" for the Strato V. The Strato V driver that is posted on our website is the first actual Strato V driver. Odds are that your system was setup using the Strato or Strato C driver. And that old Strato C driver will still work as long as it it configured to connect to the Strato V's IP directly. It will not work if you're relying on SDDP discovery because the Strato V is not recognized as a Strato C (nor should it be).

Is there a way to tell if your C4 system is setup for direct IP or using SDDP discovery? I have the composer home edition, so not all the capabilities as the pro version used by the programmer. I looked at the driver, but couldn’t tell how it was setup. Guess I could change the IP address and see if it still works. :) Thanks.

I have never used Composer HE. Does it have the Connections tab, and if so, does that view have the Network tab?

It does not have that tab. Must only be in the Pro version.

Too bad. That is where you'd see it in Pro. I'm not sure if HE has a substitute.
