Not to open up a can of worms and suggest that we pay more for content than we already do, but this idea is interesting and the K system can certainly protect the content better. I probably would not splurge for the streaming option if only offered through Comcast, but $50 for an HD version on release day that I could save through K and view again and again would be worthwhile.
The K system provides a nice, controlled testbed environment (small user base) for consumer acceptance of the concept for paying for and saving the content beyond testing the streaming of the content through Comcast.
