Close Encounters of the Third Kind has three editions. Theatrical, Special, and Directors Cut.

I regretfully have never watched this and would like to know your opinions on which one is preferred.
 
I would recommend watching the Director’s Cut. I don’t want to spoil it for you by describing the differences between the versions.
