CinemaOne (second generation) Strato/Terra compatibility?

looking to add to my K system, Does anyone know if the Cinema One can read from a terra? or if a Strato can read from a Cinema one? Or am i stuck getting a Co-Star?
i know the older systems you need a co-star, just trying to minimize my cost. The Cin1 is a server, and has downloaded content from K-store, so one would think it would be able too, if the Strato was setup to be backwards compatible with it? or is this just wishful thinking?

The Cinema One cannot communicate with a Terra Server. Only Strato and Alto communicate with a Terra.

Strato cannot read from a C1. If you want to view content on the two systems simultaneously you need a Co-Star.

Jim question,
Looking at K’s website, the second gen c1 looks like the alto, not the c1 on the legacy data sheets. Just a hail merry thought

They are similar. The Alto is based on the Cinema One (2nd Gen), BUT, it is intentionally restricted from communicating directly with Premiere Servers. This is why they look alike, but they serve different purposes.

You can keep looking for reasons that these should work together, but you are wasting your time. You're out of footballs!

Sorry!

I also bought a 2nd Gen Cinema One thinking it was the same as the Alto I borrowed. :p
Will be nice for extra Bluray space if I ever grab a Co-star, BUT, if you can find one cheap enough it may be worth it to you to grab for catalog purposes. I use mine like that and it makes for a nice addition to my K setup.
