Cinema One Questions

Hello! I recently inherited a Cinema One and a DV700. I currently have the Cinema One listed over in Marketplace (https://www.kscapeowners.com/XF/threads/kaleidescape-cinema-one-6tb-k0503-0006.3722/#post-33603) and I’m getting a few questions about it that I don’t know the answer to.

The model number is K0503–0006. It says Cinema One 6TB. It was purchased new in March of 2017.

Here’s what I’ve got so far - thanks in advance for any answers!

1. Can DVD ripping be transferred to this unit?
2. Is this the Alto that can integrate with Strato?

It is a 2nd Gen Cinema One.

1. The owner should be able to transfer the DVD import rights to that Cinema One, but would obviously need to return a DVD import capable server, in order to transfer those rights.

2. No, as noted, you have a Cinema One (2nd Gen.), not an Alto. The two may look similar, but they are different components and are not compatible. Cinema One's are part of the Premiere line, while the Alto was an Encore line product.

Pricing is all over the place with these, some just want to move on to higher capacity components, some are moving from Premiere to Encore, etc.. I've seen them as low as $1500 and as high as $3000, average seems to be in the $2K range, but numbers change weekly.
