Cataloguing New Releases

I'm curious if anyone has catalog/D2D on more recent movies. Consider the last Spider-Man, The Batman, Everything Everywhere, and new titles like that which have hit disc.

Wondering what the D2D conversion prices are on these if you did them or other new releases? Thanks.

I think much of the reduction in benefits has been around for a year or two now at this point. It has also infected much of the catalog, so little solace there (takes some real digging to find consistently legacy pricing.)

The Batman price Im seeing "in the cart" is just a few dollars more than Spider-man above, but that's $8 less than the DTD displayed price when browsing. I cataloged the Blu-ray that came with the 4K Batman+Bluray+Digital Code.

Moonfall is what you would expect Blu-ray to 4K.

Some movies has a really good discount. But agree with previous posts.
For example Dune and Matrix Resurrection was $4.92. The Batman is $29.53 with D2D and Ghostbusters Afterlife is $20.09. (an many more is above $20)
Sometimes the D2D drops. Like Mortal Kombat. It went from a D2D above $20 and is now $4.92.

I catalog all new releases, some have great discount others don’t…
but I also notice certain titles drop at a later date…
So do you buy your movies on disk and Kaleidescape? Is there a reason. Just interested. I am still a newbie currently and can’t imagine buying a disk at the minute,

For me, the benefit of buying the disc is I know it will have the Special Features and director's commentary. Those aren't always included with K. Then I use D2D to get it on K.

I did wonder if that was the reason. We used to watch every scrap of the extras with a movie back in the day but TBH have got out of the habit and prefer to put on the next movie. I can still relate to the importance of that for others though.

Easy, when you buy the disc you get digital rights. This is huge for those of us that travel or have kids or want to have access to a large movie library for guests in other rooms of the house.

Newest Spider-man only went down a few $ for me to $20.09
Some studios don't offer much of a discount at all. Marvel movies are among those. (I guess perhaps Disney in general? This applies to Pixar as well, I've noticed.) Only a few dollars off in D/D conversion. Other studios are far more generous.

New titles aside, some of the biggest 'deals' are finding an older HD-HD title that otherwise is running $24.99+

(**shakes fist at Godfather II that won't catalog)
