Nice write-up. Your cataloged content will remain in your account once it's cataloged by a component that was added to your system. This remains true even if you subsequently remove the component from the system.
There are positives to you using a Vault to catalog, but there are less problems with jams and such when using an Alto or Cinema One 2Gen. If the Vault feeds the discs, and doesn't jam, it's obviously a less labor intensive way to catalog, and a good choice for large disc collections.
Now comes the fun part, deciding what to add from the D2D list.
