To avoid the delay when playing a disc from a vault, it would be nice if the beginning of each disc (or the beginning of each episode on each disc, for TV shows) could be "buffered". So when a disc is inserted into the vault, the vault would read the first N seconds of the main title(s). And then when the user chooses to play any disc in the vault, playing begins immediately (from the buffer, which contains the first N seconds of every disc in the vault), while the vault works on getting the actual disc ready to play. Once the disc is ready, playback would seamlessly continue from the disc.
It'd be kind of like the electronic skip protection used in portable CD players.
