Ability to change subtitle position, font size and brightness/color

Already using the setting to always reposition within the movie image, but would like additional adjustment ability to minimize distraction for guests who are sensitive to subtitles taking up too much of the frame/being too bright.

it's really too bright on HDR images. When watching a movie on gtz380 in a completely blacked out room - black ceiling, walls and so on, the whole room gets visibly brighter/darker when the subtitles turn on and off. This is especially distracing on very dark scenes. The subtitles flash at our eyes like a sudden flashlight :) Changing the size and/or brightness would be highly appreciated.
Apple TV costs a fraction and has the subtitles darker out of the box. On kaleidescape the color seems to be "white" - meaning, as bright as you can display, which seems like a bit bizarre decision to me.

this is an excellent suggestion. I've noticed the same thing on our projector in a dark room.

Funny, I was thinking exactly this last night watching Babylon. I often stick the subs on just so I don't miss some dialogue that just doesn't come across right. It feels like missing a sentence in a book if I don't hear the words properly LOL

Since this feature is still not added, just bumping it to get noticed. would be great if there is a grey option. or even better, we adjust the brightness ourselves. for me color not as important, but it would be additional cake

We were watching a movie with friends who wanted subtitles. Like so many new movies, most scenes were pretty dark. Once the movie started, they asked if the subs could be made smaller, less bright. Wish I could have said “yes!”
