Abby Road 50th Anniversary Blu-ray not playing Atmos

I just loaded the Abby Road 50th Anniversary Blu-ray into my M700. I’m playing the Atmos track, but my Denon AVR is only getting a 5.1 multi-ch PCM signal.

I just got my system and so haven’t imported any other discs with an Atmos track. So, can’t say yet if this is just the one disc or a problem in general with Atmos tracks.

Anyone have thoughts?

If you are connected to the Denon via HDMI and you’re sure you selected the Atmos and not the DTS track, it sounds like perhaps a settings issue on the Denon that when EDIDs get exchanged via HDMI that M700 doesn’t see the Denon as Atmos capable, so it is “dumbing down” to DTS-MA 5.1. Do you have anything between the M700 and the Denon such as an HDMI matrix switch or a Lumagen?

Check your audio settings in the M700's player. It should be set to Bitstream, if you have it set to "Player decode" you will only get PCM 5.1
