That said, I think this worm is starting to turn, so to speak. I follow a variety of physical media news Twitter accounts, and I feel like every day I see 4K disc announcements that may struggle to get into the K store due to being boutique licensers along with general cutting into the list of bigger 4K digital films that hadn't seen a disc yet now getting release dates.
Meanwhile, I feel like a lot of the K-only 4K titles are pretty specialized and outside of my interest zones.
This gap as it exists today may be very different by 2023. It feels to me that 4K physical is having a pretty major resurgence during late COVID, through today, and going forward.
