3U vs 1U

Please forgive my memory. I am trying to remember if the 1u and 3u have the same playing capabilities. They both play dvd and blue ray, they use the same hard drives, the only real difference is storage capacity. Is my memory correct on this?

The 3U has more redundancy, due to hot-spare. Something in the back of my mind keeps chirping about higher content serving limits, but if true, it likely isn't a significant issue, as at some point both having a single NIC becomes the choke-point.

Storage density also favored the 3U (72TB vs. 54TB,) but the new 1U+ muddies the water (72TB v. 90TB at the cost of needing three power/network feeds and not having the spare drives.)
