3U Changes

I recently bought a 3U and learned after I bought it that it was from 2006. Has there been any significant or insignificant changes to the chassis or outputs on the back of the unit, or even the power supply, over the years?

No, there have been no significant changes, and the most typical issues that present with older 3U's are power button problems (infrequently, and usually only with 3U's that are constantly turned On and Off), and the Power Supply.

Most significant changes occur with the Players.

I've picked up 3 different 3U servers, and the major difference I've noticed between generations or manufacture dates was the layout of the ethernet+USB stack on the back and the firewire port placement.

The boards I've seen in my various systems:
LV673NSKAL 1U
LV674EKAL newer style 3U
LV-672 old style 3U
