18 drives. Top and bottom servers have 5 drives, middle has 8. Probably a showroom system with a couple loaners for potential clients.

Notice there are only five blue lights on the bottom server - the other 7 cartridges are blanks, which is why the light button is white with no light on.
 
you're right... i looked quickly and thought the bottom server was all filled.
 
5 drives was a stock unit with 300GB drives. I would bet that is what those units are on the top and bottom.

I might have as much storage as that 3 server cluster in my 2 servers right now - I am at 17 drives and only lose 2 to parity for a total of 15 data drives, same as that system.
 
I think that is a K internal system at a tradeshow. It might even be a pic from the HE show in new york a year ago. the post is from May 2005.
