    New Store Feature: Content Sets

Same here Mike - I just assumed there would be some sort of sign in the store. User error takes any blame here :) It's great to see the store developing like this.

    New Store Feature: Content Sets

The same here, I must have missed the "special price" signs on the content sets. Could have sworn I didn't see any signs in the web store. I planned to grab the Mission Impossible set, but will hold off for now. Are any of the other sets currently on sale?

    New Store Feature: Content Sets

Very interested in the above question, as I've apparently managed to buy one single movie of at least four of the MCU sets. What about adding the ability to include other movies from related sets (i.e other MCU sets) to fill the quota, or something in that direction? Regardless, thumbs up for...

US BR & 4K Releases for March & April 2023

I think it's back at $14.99 now. For a few moments I got different results when I listed the special pricing collection (=$14.99) and later when searching for "scream" (=$24.99). New search now gives $14.99. Update: nope, now it's up again. Sync issue? Looks like there is a "scream franchise"...

    Highlander 4k?

What about the series? Not on K either.

    Movies on Sale...

Today's nitpicking: Small typo on the flash sale advertisement of "Amsterdam" on the web store front page (rolling banner). Text says "Enjoy a special discount on Amsterdan" with a n(ovember) instead of m(ike) as the last letter of the movie title.

    Slight image flicker (HDR)

I, for one, enjoyed this little journey. It is good to know of your experiences, as the Sony projectors are on my list of possible upgrades in the future.

    Purchase strategy?

There certainly are more experienced members than me, who probably will contribute here (I'm a fairly recent newcomer as well, been using Kaleidescape for less than a year). I haven't really set out to create a strategy, but I've reflected a bit on what I actually end up doing. A few factors to...

Score by should be added to store search and movie detail (movie card)

Sometimes I like listening to movie scores. Thus I am very interested in being able to leverage my K system to find out who has composed the score for a specific movie, and to find more movies with a specific composer. Right now that's impossible (if it is not - please show me how to do it)...

    Store Pricing Feedback & Debate

No in that case both movies would get the bundle price. One of each would violate the bundle rule "at least 2". If you bought 3 movies, having two with D2Ds, one would be elevated to bundle price together with the movie you don't have. (I keep confusing myself with this, but I think this is the...

    Store Pricing Feedback & Debate

It will give you the best outcome possible while honoring the rules of the super bundle. So 3x $5.99 + 2x $4.50 should be it. For the Underworld bundle I've got by D2D 2x $4.92 and 2x $3.14, and the last movie (a non-D2D movie) being shown as $6.99. Given the above rule it should add up to 1x...

    Movies on Sale...

Did we lose a tiny piece of information though in the web store - the asterisk denoting a D2D price? (or is my memory going?) Example: Monsters vs Aliens shows up as "$14.99 $4.50" when logged in and "$14.00 $9.99" when not. Was it not shown as "$4.50*" before, so it should be something like...

    Movies on Sale...

Now I am confused again. Wasn't the conclusion that so-called "super bundles" should always give you the best possible price, including lowering the price if you've got D2Ds? Doing all sorts of magic to give the best possible outcome. @MikeKobb - any comment? Perhaps we should move this...

    Pricing when bundles include D2Ds

Right, I need to correct my vocabulary here, I'm creating more confusion than necessary by using "bundle" incorrectly. I think we are actually talking about the same thing. * An ad-hoc collection of movies - no rules, regular pricing * Collections that have "limited time pricing" - no rules...

    Pricing when bundles include D2Ds

Fair point, Mike. But the price calculation rules are the same for regular bundle and super bundle, in that the lowest possible price combination should prevail? So it should be impossible to find a cheaper way of buying a bundled set of movies, by juggling how they are combined?
  16. R

    Pricing when bundles include D2Ds

Yes, I'm indeed using the web store. Here's a screen shot of the current Toy Story bundle - I selected all and proceeded to checkout: As you can see, the movies are individually priced at the right. That's the list that, for the Jurassic World bundle, was $6.99 x 5 when the D2Ds should have...

    Pricing when bundles include D2Ds

Right, so I think I get that explanation but it doesn't reflect what I experienced with the Jurassic World bundle. I think. I had 3 movies with D2Ds at $4.92 (the original three), and two movies with original price (the two Jurassic World movies). When I clicked "select all" and "proceed to...

    Pricing when bundles include D2Ds

And the jury (support) is in: Bundle movies are fixed price, D2Ds only applies to singe purchases. So the observed behavior - increasing the cost from $4.92 to $6.99 for the D2D movie - was correct.
  19. R

    Pricing when bundles include D2Ds

Yes, I'm curious if this is by design - if so, all is good - or if it is an unintended consequence they want to correct.

    Pricing when bundles include D2Ds

Bought a Jurassic World bundle with two full-price movies and one D2D movie (couldn't avoid it). The two full-price movies were, as expected, lowered in price to $6.99 each. The D2D movie increased from $4.92 to $6.99. Question: Is increasing the price for the D2D movie the expected behavior...
