    6TB is the standard drive size for the 3U these days. With 2x 2TB, and 2x 1TB, andy is correct, you would have the exact same 6TB usable if you bought 3 new drives and just discarded all the current drives in your system. If you go this route, you would also have to hunt down 3 more "blanks"...

    Another option is to just discard the remaining 4 drives you have, and drop in a "working set" of drives from another 1U or 3U. If you get a working set from a 1U, it uses a single parity drive without a hot-swap, so your 3U will still be "yellow" because it's still short 1 drive. A working...

    Sorry. No info on the power supply that's in there. I've used a small 1U computer power supply in other 1500's in the past without issue. A little hacky on the mounting, but functional, so I never considered the power supply to be a critical issue and didn't bench test the current power...

    +1 - always looking for opportunities to find hidden gems for cheap. Trying movies that I wouldn't normally consider. The rental is part way there, as some of the rental fee is treated as credit towards purchase.

    See the specific link in the thread, or click on the banner on the front page of the movie store. If you do a title search and "create a bundle" from the resulting search set, it doesn't register for the special bundle price. This is what happened to me, at least.
