    You could compare some on K, most movies with True HD Atmos also have a Dolby Digital track For example: A Haunting in Venice The Exorcist Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning

    I did some research.... Vudu's DD+ bitrate is 384 Kbps, DD+ Atmos is 575 Kbps Netflix's DD+ bitrate is 640 Kbps, DD+ Atmos is 768 Kbps

    Agreed 100%, Dolby has tested this before and said Dolby Digital at 640kb is transparent to the LPCM master

    The Abyss was released in 70mm Six-Track Dolby Stereo Format 42 which is 4.1 3 front channels, mono surround LFE (Baby Boom) is encoded on the two extra tracks but also mono.

    This makes sense, perhaps they were using physical media for these. From what I understand, with the mezzanine files, they can take this and create the SD, HD and UHD versions and encode the LPCM tracks to DTS-HD MA or the included Atmos for the store. They don't seem to be creating any new SD...

    Which model do you have? I have the Asus BW-16D1X-U that was on the K "Qualified" player list originally for cataloging but has since been removed from the "Qualified" list since they found issues with it

    I have the 4k disc and it doesn't come with the blu-ray so there's no way to catalog at least for me, my external BD player won't read the 4k disc
