Western Digital have them on their online store already. I think we will see a Terra Prime with 104TB in 2024.

I would say a Terra Prime Hybrid with 104TB HDD and 2-8TB SSD for “fast downloads” caching is the way to go for a new product.

Note: This is a speculation and wishful thinking. I have no idea what’s coming next from Kaleidescape.

If it frees up the 18Ts (or larger) for the 1U+s then I'm certainly on board. Significantly less likely to happen, but I can dream.

Highly unlikely but 1U+ at 54TB or even 48TB (excluding parity) would be really interesting.

For me personally speed of download is secondary to other issues, like size of hard drive and cost. I mean, I personally can wait 10 mins to download a movie vs. doing it in 1 minute. A larger HD is obviously great...but what will it cost? (I am starting to see space on my 48 drive depleting fast... ONLY enough room for 45 HDR movies left. And that's terrifying!!!)

Lol, I bought a terra prime 48 TB from cinelife in September, and it is already full. I originally planned to sell my 6TB compact terra, but I ended up keeping it.
