New feature: Remote Deletion

Greetings all!

I’m pleased to share that we announced a new feature today: remote deletion. This feature enables you to delete movies from your system easily, even when you’re not at home, using the web store or the mobile app.

We recognize that sometimes you need to do a little library cleanup, especially if you’re running low on storage space, and you want to download tonight’s new movie! This can be a particular challenge for customers who have systems in more than one home.

Now it’s really easy. Just open the movie’s details on the web store or in the mobile app. On the web, there’s a new “Delete” option right next to the “Download” option. On the mobile app, there’s a “Manage Downloads” button. Tap that, and you’ll see the delete option there. In both interfaces, you can choose to delete the entire movie, or just specific versions (e.g. maybe you no longer need the HD version but you want to keep the 4K).

Please note: The remote deletion feature is available in the iOS mobile application today. Work is underway on the Android version, and it is expected to be released soon.

This is a great addition. I've been wanting something like this for awhile now. Thanks!
