Disc to Digital

Hi everyone.

Sorry to be late in seeing this thread. The issue that Kris is seeing is because we suppress Disc-to-Digital messaging on the movie store if your system exclusively has downloaded content (or if you're not logged in at all). If you have imported or cataloged at least one disc, you will see DtD messaging.

This was intended to reduce clutter by hiding irrelevant information from customers who are not using their Kaleidescape systems with disc-based media. It does expose an unforeseen use case, however, which is someone who has a disc-capable player that is used only for ad hoc playback or for performing disc-to-digital purchases via the OSD. I've suggested that we tweak the logic here in a future version of the movie store software to enable the disc messaging if you have disc-capable components.

Thanks Mike!

Jim

Thanks for chiming in on that @MikeKobb. I definitely fall into the camp of not maintaining cataloged discs in my library. I guess for now, I will keep one resident until an adjustment comes.
