Pre-order 1917 on Kstore

Anyone notice the preorder for 1917 is only HD. Does this mean they will only get the HD version and not the 4k copy? It is already out on 4k disc preorder. Seems strange this would have happened.

BR,
Michael

I wouldn't worry. It has happened before where the initial preorder shows as HD, but it will be UHD before actual release. You can hold off buying until that happens.

It's common on iTunes too, where initial listings for new movies show up as HD, but they flip to UHD later on or at actual release.

Actually, I did a quick search on iTunes and the 1917 preorder there is shown as HD too. It will change in both stores eventually.

I double checked with our content team and confirmed that right now, the movie is only available to pre-order in HD.

However, what I can say is this: if you pre-order the HD version today and a 4K version is added before release, we'll email you to let you know, in case you want to change your order. As well, if the distributing studio should elect to use "harmonized pricing" on this title (HD and 4K versions with the same price), we would just seamlessly upgrade your pre-order to 4K without your having to do anything.

You can now preorder it in 4K HDR!

Too bad it will only be 5.1 audio in 4K, a hard disc buy, unfortunately.

Never understood how NBCUniversal had Lucy in Dolby Atmos, but it seems not much more.... Let's keep hoping they make a change to include all of their titles. Maybe starting with 1917!

Great news! I deleted the HD versions and purchased the HDR pre order... Thanks again...

For those of you who may have pre-ordered the HD version, the price did not change. You should now see your pre-order automatically converted to the 4K version.

I wish that happened on other orders, not just preorders. Noticed a few films recently that I bought in HD are now available in HDR but are effectively the same price again. Almost makes me question buying HD movies if they are likely to be available in HDR down the line . (More so, it’s for the Atmos soundtrack than the visuals)
