    Movies on Sale...

I doubt there's any relationship to MA. Kaleidescape doesn't really manage the price reductions, AFAIK. They are initiated by the content owners. I think the reasoning it two-fold: 1. COVID and revenue for the studios. Price reductions boost sales, essentially. 2. Sales promotions run pretty...

    Movies on Sale...

Argh, I thought the Dads and Grads sale went through 6/24 and was planning to snag a few titles today, but noticed the prices reverted. Looking back at the email, the promo ran through 6/23...

    Constant Terra Server Activity ?

@MikeKobb can you comment? I find my Terra really never shuts off. It operates always on by design I believe. Though not sure about HD sleep/parking when no disc access is happening.

    What's a Terra server's maximum ingest speed?

Oh duh, yeah, I forgot out that part of the connection. It would need a 10GB Ethernet to unlock more speed. Good call. What region/state are you in to get 900+? I tend to top out around 600 in Michigan.

    What's a Terra server's maximum ingest speed?

If you want some conjecture on physical limits, the Terra is basically a multi-hard drive RAID array using striping, I believe. The write speed of a conventional spinning hard drive usually sits somewhere above 100MB/s. Writing to raid array writes multiple bits simultaneously for each drive...

    What's a Terra server's maximum ingest speed?

Not sure on the theoretical. 800+ is the most I think we've seen reported.

I have my Strato/Terra and my Alto on two difference "systems" cause I'm only using the Alto for D2D now and I don't keep or want anything stored on it for playback.
