Kaleidescape, DVD Regions and Bluray Zones

Croptop, that is the behavior I am encountering, and it has been reported to Kaleidescape as I noted above with solutions as discussed ad nauseam with them. Unrecognized content behaves as if it were disc-in-tray.

4K Bluray- correct me if I am wrong, but K's vault / server system now would support 4K with new players...

Kaleidescape doesn't even support 3D yet due to hardware limitation(s), and there is quite a bit of content available in that format. 4K compatibility will be far off in my opinion. On a more tangential note, I personally don't see a 4K optical disc being a viable format especially in the...

Kaleidescape, DVD Regions and Bluray Zones

Multi-region systems rely on discs being recognized in K's database I ran into a recent problem with one of my clients that I would like to share. He has a continually increasing collection of movies from several regions, and many of them are unique and not recognized by Kaleidescape's metadata...

    HDTracks directly in to Kaleidescape

Indeed. I think before Kscape can start worrying about importing high-rez music, they need to catch up to what others have been doing for several years: exporting music to Apple computers, exporting uncompressed music, and importing music of ANY resolution or file format at all, let alone...

NEWS: Kaleidescape M700 Disc Vault announced

I believe that M500 + MDV = M700 cost. On a related note, if you already have an M500/MDV in the main rack and were looking to add an M700 and move the M500 elsewhere, you CANNOT hook up an MDV to the M700 - MDV only hooks to the M300 and M500.
