    Kaleidescape HTTP Control Protocol

Yeah, that or I could simply scrape the local players html page that’s exposed to users, but I was trying to do things the “right” way. @MikeKobb maybe you can chime in... is this interface not available to mere mortals?

    Kaleidescape HTTP Control Protocol

Hello all, I am trying to build a software application to display movie posters on a monitor outside the theater, as well as showing the specific poster and progress details for the movie that is currently playing on my Strato (if any). There are similar products available for Kodi/Plex/etc...

Expanding from single Strato - Confused

Thanks all for the replies. What I am not seeing is any disadvantage to the Cinema One G2 + DV-700 + Costar route. Without having researched it, I would assume a Cinema One G2 would be cheaper than an Alto on the used market. Is there any features I would be missing by going the Cinema One...

Expanding from single Strato - Confused

Hi all... I've had a single Strato for a couple years and we love the system. I also have a bunch of DVDs and BluRays from the preK era. What's the easiest and/or cheapest route to expand my system to be able to play as many of those discs as possible without touching them? Mainly I'm...

Control 4 or Crestron question about remote programming

@Jeff, Thanks for that info. I never realized that the software was baked into the KPlayers - I always assumed the Co-star was a necessary ingredient. I'm going to check with @alanchow and see if his Control4 driver for K will do this. Thanks again!

Control 4 or Crestron question about remote programming

If someone already owns the hardware, but wants to switch to the software version, is there any documentation on how to do that on the K side? I'm not talking about the control system side, but can one simply unplug the Co-Star, connect the KPlayers to an AVR and not need to change anything...

Control 4 or Crestron question about remote programming

Me no parle Crestron. Me speak Control4. :) I can program a Strato and an Alto into a Control4 system as unique devices, and I'm pretty sure I can even change what input is shown based on which unit is actually playing rather than what unit I tell Control4 to play. But I wasn't aware there...

Control 4 or Crestron question about remote programming

That's my understanding as well, but I wasn't aware they had made it possible to eliminate the hardware switch via NVX and Lumagen. I was hoping @MikeKobb could chime in with info on any other options. I'm especially interested in Control4, either using a Control4 Leaf matrix, or via two K...

Control 4 or Crestron question about remote programming

Is this functionality available with Control4? I currently only have a single Strato, but I've been contemplating adding something to my HT do deal with my collection of (non-4k) BluRay disks.

4K HDR Titles in K Store Missing Immersive Audio (Dolby Atmos/DTS:X)

OK, I've been following this thread for months, wondering what you guys have been yammering on about. I am so in love with my 4K/HDR projector, I couldn't imagine my theater getting better. Then last night, my installer hooked up four little (well, 6.5 inch...:D) round speakers in my ceiling...

HDR Movie Tag or HDR Picture Correction for Projectors

Too cool! I've pinged Alan Chow to see if he can/will update the Control4 driver to take advantage of this. It was the missing link in my theater becoming fully automated. Go K!

Control 4 or Crestron question about remote programming

I'll separate this into three basic parts: Control4 in general, Control4 with KScape, and my experience with Magnolia. Control4 in general: We recently completed the build and moved into our new house. I knew that I wanted to go all-in with whole-home media and home automation with this house...

Control 4 or Crestron question about remote programming

I have a fairly extensive Control4 installation that was designed, installed, and is currently maintained by Magnolia. Not sure if you’ve already decided to abandon that route or not, but if you want to hear about my experience with Control4 generally, or with K-Scape specifically, let me know.

Question from Kaleidescape: What's your Internet speed?

Rather frustrated here in Virginia... Have XFinity Gigabit Internet and a network that supports Gigabit. Routinely get 980-990 Mb/s via speedtest.net on the same network segment my Strato is plugged in to. The Strato consistently downloads at between 48 Mb/s and 49 Mb/s. I'm not sure what it...
