    Concerned about the longevity of the Server.

    I've had a Strato S since 2019 with no problems and I have a Premiere 4-disk server which is at least 10 years-old and had 1 drive fail. I was able to replace that myself but had to buy the drive from Kscape. But, if you're worried about an HDD failure, get a multi-drive Terra. If a drive fails...

    Strato C front panel lights not working

    Any chance you have connected an external USB to the Strato C? I noticed on my Strato that when the USB drive is connected to the USB on the back panel the front light will blink. The Strato still operates normally, but plugging in an external drive seems to affect the front panel light operation.

    What defines the download speed?

    Which piece of Kscape hardware governs the download speed? Whichever piece you are downloading to. The Terra is only a server. A Strato S is both a server and a player. The only pure player is a Strato C and you can't download to those. You can find more information on the Kscape support page...

    If none of the above work, swap out the HDMI cable from the Alto to the Costar with a known good cable from the other room.

    Strato S upgrade path

    Thanks, but I'm hoping I can get rid of/trade in my M players and Premier disk servers and get rid of the Costar altogether. I want to consolidate everything onto the Strato S/Strato C/Terra system. My Premier stuff is old enough that I'm sure I not far away from another expensive disk replacement.

    Strato S upgrade path

    I am in a similar situation, but I have two Strato S and a Premier server. I have viewing in two rooms with a Strato and an M player in each room connected with a Costar and a Premier server that stores DVD and non-4K Blurays. I want to add a Terra server but keep the 2 Stratos for their storage...

    Question to the community -How many of you use conventional TVs vs. projector screens?

    Sony projector in the theater but we do have a second system in our family room with a 45" Samsung LED (I know, I know, but my wife is insistent on keeping all the equipment in an enclosed cabinet, including the monitor, and that was the biggest that would fit!).

    I’m not sure about the pairing but if you are playing a 4K movie from the Strato and getting nothing on the display, I would next try playing something like a Bluray or DVD that you know comes from the M500 and see if that is displayed when the HDMI cable from the M500 is connected to the AVR.     First thing I would suggest is to bypass the Co-Star switch and run the HDMI from the Strato straight to your AVR to see if that eliminates the problem.

    Charge to download when i already own movie

    Click on the Unowned tab at the top and they will all disappear. If you click on one of the movies you already own, it will tell you that you already own it. I don’t know what their logic is for showing you movies you already own by default.

    In the US. I figured out a work around for now. I setup a VPN to a server in another city in the US and was able to successfully download. I suspect there is/was something going on with my local FIOS provider that was causing the issue. I reported the issue to Kscape Support and will feed them...

    Getting different messages on different devices. On my iPad the message is that "there is already an open proxy" and on my PC is says the store can't determine my country. Any ideas?

    1. There are definitely hard remotes. I don't have a Strato C but my two Stratos both came with hard remotes. You should follow-up with your dealer to ensure you get one. 2.     Movies purchased won’t download

    It doesn’t hurt to contact support. I had some issues with downloading to my Strato. Downloads would take more than 24 hours or just stop in mid flight. Support ultimate had their software guys look at my system and they did something (never told me what) that fixed it and it’s worked fine since.
