Kaleidescape Expands Into Cinema Business With Service to Bring Library Titles to Theaters

The article says, "Per the plan, Mountain View, Calif.-based Kaleidescape would sell its hardware to theater owners, prep and supply the encrypted content." So there must be someway they're going to connect existing hardware to projectors. Unless there will be some special new hardware or adapters.

    Movie Updates

Nice! I love seeing extras get added. It looks like Oppenheimer added them as well. Pretty sure it didn't have them before. I really wish they would have them quicker though for new releases. I buy the disc or iTunes if K doesn't have the extras.

Unfortunately, I doubt it. Physical media is an entirely different beast than EST.

Concerned about the longevity of the Server.

Darn. Same, was planning to make a bunch of purchases this weekend. Should’ve bought them yesterday with the reduced pricing.

    Movies on Sale...

Wow, $8.40 per movie. What is the normal price for this set? If these had the special features it would be an instant purchase. May just get the Blu-ray disc set.

US BR & 4K Releases for November & December 2023

Yeah, feel a bit swindled by this. I just bought Avatar a couple weeks ago, despite it having no special features, which I normally don't do. Why not just add the special features to the original one in the store?

US BR & 4K Releases for November & December 2023

The disc version has 15 hours of special features. It seems like most new releases on K don't have any special features now. Very disappointing to have to buy the disc again.

    Oppenheimer

This is one of the main things that keeps me from buying all of my movies on K. Lots of movies are missing the special features. I bought a physical copy of Oppenheimer.
