    Pirates Of The Caribbean: Curse The Black Pearl / Trinnov

    This movie supposedly has a bad Blu Ray transfer. I had not seen the movie in a long time so decided to give it a try on K. The 4K picture was excellent plus the DTS HD MA 5.1 sounded superb with Neural X on the Trinnov. The Trinnov sure does do a super job on 5.1 Neural X. Just wanted to share.

    My 4K Gap Analysis: Disc has 5x the Exclusives of K

    I have found many titles that are only available on 4k blu ray for either the picture or sound quality. Here are couple of examples. The movie “Stagecoach” is available in 4k on 4k blu ray but only in HD on K. Oblivion and Silent Night are in Atmos on 4K blu ray but only in DTS 5.1 HD MA on K.

    I have a JVC NZ8 and a MadVR In the system. The picture looks super when I choose either HDR or UHD. Without doing a A/B comparison which would looks better if both are available on a given title?

    There are a few other current titles that are missing the Atmos track such as The Beekeeper and Migration. Yet they are available in Atmos on Apple TV+. Anyone why this is happening?

    It was available in the theaters in Atmos, Dolby Surround 7.1, IMAX 6 track and Dolby Digital according to the IMDB.

    Disappointed that there is No Atmos mix on K so far. The only Atmos mix that is streaming that I found is on Apple TV. Lossy at that.

    So many great movies not on Kstore in 4K

    The movies that are not in 4K/better sound at the K store I purchase on 4K Blu Ray. I would say about 10% are 4k Blu Ray.

    "The Abyss" in 4K

    Hoping so. I saw this in a great Atmos theater last week. The picture and sound were great overall. Maybe K will give us the Atmos version soon.

    Most will look at the bits rates and say DTS HD MA 5.1 is better verses DD+ streaming. What I am going to do is (matching levels) run the same movie that I have viewed many time times and let the ears decide.

    On the Vudu tech information page it list “Dolby Digital 5.1 Dolby Atmos” for there Atmos titles. Sounds like they piggybacking on DD+ (lossy) 7.1 capabilites.
