I just wanted to express my deep gratitude to @ScottM816 for creating and sharing this script. I worked my way through it over a couple of months, and thoroughly enjoyed the journey! I just finished it a couple of days ago, and had a blast! I picked up on so many interrelated things that I’d previously missed.

I am really excited to try this out as well. I've got all the movies, but I too am seeing Black Panther as having a red X by it. I checked to make sure there were no pending updates, and that my account showed the movie and I had it downloaded in HDR. Has there been another update to this movie since the last update in April?

Try the script attached to this thread post #32.

This is the first script I even tried out. I assume it's just a limitation of the hardware, but there's quite a long pause between each scene. I was hoping to watch the entire script, but having to wait for about 10-15 seconds each time the scene switches (and then wait for the audio and projector to sync up) makes it kind of unwatchable for me. Does everyone have this, or am I doing something wrong?

Same here. It takes a while for the video and audio processors to lock back onto the signal. Great idea, but it's not watchable, alas.

I believe the timing is based on several factors, including:

The resolution of the scenes in the script. Faster when the resolutions are the same (i.e. HD to HD), slower when changing resolutions (i.e. HDR to HD, or HD to HDR, etc.).

Your equipment. (how fast does your system process EDID info, and lock to a signal)

The size of your collection of movies.

Just pointing out that systems can differ on the performance of scripts based on several factors, but in general, "yes," there is a delay between scenes in a script. The fastest script I've created was all HD, animations, for a kids party. Average time between scenes was about 7 seconds. I do agree it would be awesome to move immediately to a new scene.

This has me thinking. If a server can support multiple playbacks simultaneously, I wonder if there's a way to "pre-load" the next scene while one is playing so that playback of that next scene is without a delay.....maybe allocate a memory bank to store scenes? Mike? John?

I don't think server performance is the issue. I believe it's the necessary setup within the media playback engine, combined with any mode changes necessary because of different content formats. I just tried a couple of scripts I have on my system, on a player configured to always output 4K 60fps. It takes about four seconds to start each HD scene, and about 10 seconds to start each 4K scene. I'm not sure what accounts for the difference in those two numbers, except that I know that the players do load a certain amount of content into memory before starting playback, and so it may just be that 4K content is bigger and takes longer. I'll ask.
