US BR Releases and 4K Releases for January & February 2018

The following titles have been added:

Only the Brave (HDR/UHD with Dolby Atmos from Sony)
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (HDR with DTS-HD M 5.1 from Warner Bros.)

John

The following HD titles have been added:

A Question of Faith
The Stolen

John

“Wild”, “Victor Frankestein”, “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” have been added in HDR with DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio from Fox.

Across the Universe(2004) has been added from Sony in HDR/UHD with Dolby Atmos. Also available as an upgrade for $15.99 for existing BD owners.

“Roman J. Israel, Esq.” has been added on HDR and UHD with DTS-HD MA 5.1 from Sony. This is another 4K title with NO release schedule for physical media. We have now seen releases like this from Sony, Universal and Warner Bros.

I may need to starts thread to track these type of titles. It’s a total different experience if you can no longer count on titles being released on phisical media at the same time as digital releases.

John

Yeah K has been getting a lot of these lately, it’s sweet because even though there are no 4 disc release we still get 4k disc quality....

“Suburbicon” has been added in HD and HDR in DTS-HD MA 5.1 from Paramount (no release schedule for physical media).

John

Also noticed that Sony pricing on newer releases seems to have dropped to a reasonable level and certainly closer to their 'streaming' alternatives.

“Professor Marston and the Wonder Women” has been added in HD.

John

“The Birth of a Nation” and “Paper Towns” have been added in HDR from Fox

It looks like Groundhog Day got an Atmos upgrade and a bunch of Dreamworlds Animations were update to 7.1. If you look at "My Movies" it will show you the latest titles added. This is a good way to see if something has changed

“Groundhog Day” also now is HDR in addition to UHD.

John

The rest of the Tramformers movies (1-4) have been added in HDR from Paramount. “Age of Extinction” is in Dolby Atmos. The rest are DTS-HD MA 5.1.

“Poltergeist (2015)” has been added in HDR from Fox.
