sad story: Movies could be available as a VOD rental before DVD, Blu-ray -- for $20 to $30 each
I could see 10 bucks, or even if you rent you get a discount on the media when it comes out, but for 20-30 bucks you might as well go to the movies and see it -- especially since you'd make your money back if you have say 3+ people over to watch with you, but the MPAA might deem that a "public showing" |

As long as they are family/household members or specifically invited friends, and not just open for anyone to walk-in, let the bad times roll.

This is still dumb.. if you make it prohibitively expensive then those who normally bootleg movies will continue to do so.
If it's easy and only costs a reasonable fee to do things the legal way I'm fairly certain most people would. |
