Okay, in that case, it sounds like you do have a store account for that system, and one for the Strato. You'll need to contact Kaleidescape Support to merge those accounts.

In the Premiere system that you have described, you have two components that are capable of movie playback. Those are the M500 and the M700. (For those who are perhaps not familiar, an M700 is a disc vault with an integrated M-class player). In some installations, people have an M700, but they are not actually using the player capability. They're just using it to manage their optical discs. In other installations, they may be using the M700's integral player for one of their viewing zones.

So, how you proceed will depend on how your system is set up. The easiest thing to do is to look at the back of your M500 and your M700. Which ones have HDMI cables connected? Is it just the M500? Or does the M700 have one as well?

If you are only using one of the two M-class components as a player, that's the one you'll pair with the Strato using the Co-Star switch. If you are using both M-class players, you need to decide which of those two will be paired with the Strato. Your other player will remain un-paired, and you can continue to use it to play movies and music stored on the Premiere system.

As much as it generally pains me to watch myself on video, you may find this demo we put together prior to the Co-Star release helpful. A few small details have changed, but generally it's still accurate.

Wait, so will an M700 played directly off the discs stored in itself? So you could have a set up comprised of an M700 and a Strato with a costar if you wanted to?

An Alto/M700 combo can play both DVD and BR discs stored in the Vault. A Strato/M700 combo can only play DVD's stored in the Vault. It cannot play BR discs.

To reinforce what Jim said, the M700's built-in player is only usable as part of a Premiere system. If you wanted to use the M700's built-in player, you would need a Premiere server as well.

If you use an M700 with a Strato, the internal player in the M700 is not used, and it acts the same as a DV700, sending bits from the optical discs to the Strato. Strato only supports playback of DVDs in this fashion, not Blu-ray discs.

Yes, we established a few days ago that I have two email logins for the store but we now know which one relates to the John Wick purchase.

We also discovered that Kaleidescape have my Strato & Premier systems set up on two different accounts with slightly different addresses. We have spoken to them & they were supposed to have merged those as well.

Some screen grabs. It seems thereís a component that canít connect to Kaleidescapeís servers. Not sure what the component is as it doesnít display a name or serial number. Iím assuming itís the Strato?

Everything is definitely connected to a working internet connection.

Don't see how the "? server" is being identified by K as a Strato (unless that message is incorrect) because the Disney opt-in message shouldn't be there for Encore products, they are automatically able to download Disney content. Only Premiere systems that were grandfathered are subject to the opt-in provision if they plan to be able to download Disney owned content from the K Store.

What does http://my-kaleidescape/lskd.html show you as that should display all your K devices so you can verify what is connected and what is not.
